Family run since 1992. Over 2,000 catering disposables, food packaging and hygiene products held in stock, sold at trade prices, with free next day delivery on orders over £100 ex VAT.
Our story
We started in 1992 as Midland Catering Supplies, working out of Nottingham with one delivery van and a small stock holding. Caterers kept coming back because we answered the phone, knew the products, and turned up when we said we would. That part has not changed.
Over the following two decades the van became a fleet and the stock holding became warehouses. National contracts, local authorities and thousands of independent caterers joined the customer list. As takeaway and grab-and-go food service grew, so did the packaging behind it, and we built the range around it.
Today we are still family run, still based in Nottingham, and still working to the same idea: hold the right product, price it at trade, and get it out the door fast.

Midland Catering Supplies
Established in Nottingham with a single delivery van and a small stock holding, serving caterers across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
- 2012
Into Norfolk
We acquired Safety Zone, a cleaning and hygiene specialist, adding a second site and a much broader janitorial range.
- 2013
One brand: Magenta UK
Both sites came together under a single name, giving customers one account, one catalogue and one point of contact.
- 2016
Catering24 goes online
Launched as an online distributor of catering disposables, cleaning and hygiene products, built for caterers who order outside office hours.
- 2020
One name across the group
In July 2020, 28 years on, Magenta UK acquired Catering24 and adopted the Catering24 name across the business.

What we supply
Two ranges do most of the heavy lifting for takeaways, cafes and caterers. Both are held in stock and priced at trade.

Free next day delivery on orders over £100 ex VAT, placed by 4pm Monday to Friday. Next day delivery is available to all UK mainland addresses. Scottish Highlands and Islands are 2-3 working days.

Most caterers do their ordering after service, not during it. So we built the site for that: order at any hour, see what is actually in stock, and reorder a previous basket in a few clicks.
Behind it sits our own software, which is how we keep stock accurate, pricing consistent and dispatch quick. When you would rather talk to a person, the team is on the phone and knows the products.
